OUR NEEDS: FROM CITIES AND COMMUNITIES (Sponsorship Opportunities)
We are currently fundraising to provide the film, play and salaries involved in bringing the Campaign to your city. We are currently looking for Airline, Hotel and other major chains to cover our costs through in-kind and financial sponsorships in exchange for above-the-title placement in our Campaign endeavors, as well as subsequent fund raising screenings and performances of the play outside of the typical campaign weekend.
We have a specific list of needs, costs or sponsored services we hope to have provided from the city and our partners there. In exchange, we have incentives for advertising in the city and on our web site as the tour continues its journey in the coming years ahead. Additionally, Campaign donations can be tax-deductible through our fiscal receiver, MCCV (Metropolitan Community Church in the Valley). It's an incredible opportunity for individuals and businesses to join a grassroots movement from its inception and take a stand on “the right side of history” for equality and love. The nation has shifted in favor of marriage equality and won't tolerate bullying in any of its forms any longer. We are entering a new era of acceptance and understanding. This Campaign is part of that movement and this is how you can help make direct impact in your community:
Venues Sponsors. Donated locations for the film, play and community event. (symposium, town hall style meeting, workshops...) Past venues in other cities range from separate spaces for each part of the event to one central location that covers them all. We have been hosted by schools, temples, churches, LGBT centers, theaters, literally anywhere that is open and ready for any or all parts of our campaign.
Presenting Partner/Producer. Organizations, individuals and universities to be involved with or help sponsor the weekend. Out of these we hope to find a "Presenting Partner," in essence a producer on the ground who will help us with logistics and set up for the weekend’s events. This Presenting Partner could be part of, or help in identifying, a charity or organization who matches our mission. Since it is our intention to come to the city fully funded on our end, that charity or organization would in turn benefit from the money raised through ticket sales, as well as the positive exposure to the community generated through the event.
Housing/Hotel Sponsors. We travel with a total of fourteen cast and crew members.
Local Media Sponsor. We aim to get the main local newspaper, radio and/or TV stations on board as a sponsor for the event. With the campaign often getting national attention, it is a great opportunity for local stations to receive some national recognition as well.
Local Business Sponsors. For "in-kind" or financial assistance in exchange for a myriad of advertising opportunities. Assistance can range from ground transportation to local printing services to local restaurants off-setting the cost of feeding the cast and crew. If the business cannot provide a service we also offer advertising opportunities for financial donations.
Community leaders, Religious leaders and Political Leaders. Individuals who want to find a way to support us and/or would like to be part of a respectful discussion. These are people who are committed to making their community a place that protects its youth, accepts all of its citizens and believes everyone should be afforded the same rights and opportunities.
If you or someone you know can help with any level of sponsorship for this tour coming to your city, please contact us. We look forward to sharing in this dialogue of change with your community.
